Jamaica is one of my favorite Caribbean destinations due to it’s easy accessibility from the states and options for every budget and trip style. But this post is specifically for my romance seekers who require only the best when they travel. Read on to get the scoop on my favorite five-star luxury resorts for your next Jamaican romantic getaway.
Half Moon
With two miles of beachfront property in Montego Bay, you will not be lacking in seaside views. The brand new Eclipse at Half Moon is my recommendation for couples seeking modern luxury within a classic Caribbean estate. These brand new suites overlooking the infinity edge swimming pool and private swimming coves are located near the sprawling Fern Tree Spa. Featuring a plethora of unique treatment rooms, a vegan cafe, and my favorite spa serenity pool in Jamaica, you will be hard pressed to decide where to spend your days. Half Moon has activities for everyone but couples can’t head back to reality without first experience the two-person Turf & Surf guided equestrian ride both along sunrise beach and riding IN the Caribbean sea!

If you’re seeking classic Hollywood vibes in a tropical paradise, look no further than Round Hill Hotel and Villas. Established nearly 70 years ago on 110 lush acres in Montego Bay, you’ll be whisked from the airport to your suite in no time. Round Hill attracts big name celebrities seeking privacy and decades of tradition. When your vacation is over, you can say you honeymooned at the same place JFK and Jackie spent part of their honeymoon and where Harry and Meghan chose to spend their weekend in Jamaica. Whether you choose an ocean front room or a tropical hillside villa (all timelessly decorated in Ralph Lauren Home) you will undoubtedly be smitten by the Caribbean breeze and their quintessential Jamaican hospitality.
Sandals South Coast
Over the years Sandals has become synonymous with honeymoons due to their excellent reputation as an award-winning, all-inclusive, adults-only resort. Sandals South Coast is specifically a fan favorite due to their location on the gorgeous south coast of Jamaica. What makes this property stand out from the rest are their new over-the-water bungalows. These finely appointed individual villas include a glass floor, over-water hammock, personal swimming platform, outdoor shower and Sandals’ Tranquility Soaking Tub for Two. There are plenty of opportunities for fun back at the main resort but with 24-hour Butler service included with these suites you may never want to leave your bungalow.
Excellence Oyster Bay

Excellence Oyster Bay is one of Jamaica’s newest properties and extends into the Caribbean Sea on its own private peninsula. Excellence resorts are well known in Mexico and the Caribbean for providing luxury accommodations and top-notch service among the all-inclusive adults-only sector. Couples seeking their own private paradise won’t want to settle for anything but the Beach Villa. Boasting over 1500 square feet, your own personal beach front pool, and excellent club amenities, these rooms are equipped with two bicycles, two kayaks and two paddle boards for endless fun in the sun. The beach villas are perfect for those looking for the amenities and social activities of a large resort with the seclusion of your own private beach villa.
Goldeneye
I saved my favorite for last. You won’t hop off the plane in Montego Bay and arrive to what used to be Ian Fleming’s private estate without a little work. But the drive along the north shore to Oracabessa is worth the effort, especially when it includes a stop at Scotchies jerk shack. Goldeneye is the kind of laid-back, beach hair, bare feet vacation that suits me best. There is a well-curated playlist fed into the resort speakers giving a Mykonos beach club vibe….without all the people. Every where you turn, you will find a new little nook to snuggle up with a craft cocktail, a good book, and the one you love. Romance abounds at Goldeneye and please, book a Lagoon Hut. Complete with it’s own dock outfitted with kayaks and sup boards, you’ll spend your days swimming and paddling the fresh water lagoons or napping on your porch. The snorkeling on property is amazing and when you return back to your chair you will find a fresh towel replaced the one you left. If the phrase “laid back and seductive” is how you want to describe your romantic getaway, Goldeneye is the place for you.
