Favorite Travel Item
I love a pair of designer sunglasses as much as the next girl but when I’m on vacation I tend to pack my “designer inspired” options. The truth is I’m still irresponsible with sunglasses. I’d prefer to lose a $10 pair than rather than a pair I spent three digits on. Plus they are so cute and stylish and most won’t know the difference. I have these in black which is - oh so sleek - but also love the transparent turquoise and white!

Travel Inspired Recipe
Welcome to chili season! Everyone has their own red chili recipe so break out of the mold and try this white chicken chili. It’s so easy and just as comforting as the classic. My kids gobble this up and one batch leaves plenty of leftovers. Aside from booking a tropical vacation, this chili is the next best thing to keep you warm this winter.
3 cans white beans
2 cans of white corn (1 bag frozen)
3 cups chicken broth
2 can diced green chilies
2 chicken bouillon cubes
2 medium onions chopped
1 Tablespoon garlic powder
1 Tablespoon oregano
1 Tablespoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
4 cups shredded chicken breasts
1 24 ounce sour cream
Combine broth and bullion cubes. Add all spices. Simmer for a few minutes. Add green chilis, corn, chicken, beans, and onions. Cook for 15 minutes. Add sour cream and stir. Cook for another 5 minutes.
Hot Travel Destinations
If you have followed us for any amount of time you may already know that we are OBSESSED with the Velas brand of resorts. Imagine our excitement when we heard that Grand Velas was opening a boutique Adults only resort in Cabo San Lucas. It’s my favorite brand in one of my favorite destinations! When I talk to clients about this brand, I describe it as the creme de la creme of all inclusive options. It’s perfect for even the most discerning traveler. After you experience Grand Velas, nothing quite lives up to that experience so consider yourselves warned.

Travel Tip
Staying healthy while traveling is essential to ensure you have an enjoyable and stress-free experience. Here are some tips to help you stay healthy while on the road:
1. Stay Hydrated
Drink more water than you normally would on a daily basis. Airplanes have very low humidity levels which causes hydrating faster. Once in destination replenish your body from the flight especially in hot climates or at high altitudes. I also love the Liquid IV powder you can pour into a bottle of water for extra electrolytes.
2. Eat Well
Consume a balanced diet with fruits and vegetables to boost your immune system.
Be cautious with street food and uncooked items in areas with poor sanitation.
3. Wash Your Hands
We all know that frequent hand washing with soap and water is essential to prevent the spread of germs. When clean water and soap are not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. These pocket size sanitizers are the perfect travel size and smell amazing!
4. Gut Health
Probiotics: Consider taking probiotics before and during your trip to help maintain a healthy gut. This is a great travel option for men, women and children.
5. Get Enough Sleep
Don’t schedule a lot on your first day. Your body may be jetlagged from the flight and need to catch up on sleep. It’s important to listen to those cues and make an effort to allow your body the rest it needs in order to enjoy the rest of the vacations. Adequate rest is vital to maintain your energy and immune system. When I’m away from my bed, I never leave the house without melatonin. Even if my body is tired sometimes I need a little help drifting off. Nothing fancy needed but the one I link does the trick!
6. Stay Active
Incorporate physical activity into your travel routine to stay fit. Consider exploring the area on foot or renting a bike.
7. Avoid Overindulgence
While it's tempting to try new foods, overeating can strain your digestive system. Stick to smaller, balanced meals, and avoid excessive consumption of rich, spicy, or fatty foods.
8. Stay Allergen-Aware
If you have allergies or dietary restrictions, be vigilant about communicating your needs to restaurant staff.
9. Seek Medical Assistance When Needed
If you feel unwell or experience significant health issues, don't hesitate to seek medical help. Many destinations have medical facilities for travelers.
Remember that staying healthy while traveling involves both physical and mental well-being. Being proactive and mindful of your health can make your trip more enjoyable and memorable.
The Haas’s Summer Getaway
“From the moment we saw Sugar Beach in St. Lucia we knew we had found a winner. Nestled between the two piton mountains with lush rainforest landscape surrounding you.. it was the epitome of luxury, romance and relaxation. Just what we were hoping for to celebrate 12 years of marriage. Everyone needs to experience it!” -Nikki
